ATTENTION CASEYVILLE WATER CUSTOMERS:

Illinois American Water has started its annual free chlorine flushing, which means chlorine alone is being used as a disinfectant as opposed to the regular combination of chlorine and ammonia.  This temporary change in disinfectant is necessary to ensure that the quality of the water in the distribution system remains at its usual standards.

This change will affect ALL services on the Caseyville Water system as we purchase our water from Illinois American Water.  You may notice a chlorine smell in your water during this time and will last for approximately 3 – 4 weeks.

Caseyville Water will be doing additional hydrant flushing during the disinfectant process.
