DRAFT Ordinance 2022-22 Property Tax Levy
In order to properly fund operations of the Village of Caseyville, the recommended property tax levy for 2022 (collected during 2023) is $1,376,550, which is a 4.59% increase over last year (4.99% over the 2021 extension.)
The Village of Caseyville’s Equalized Assessed Value (EAV) is expected to increase more than 5%, which will cause the 2022 property tax rate to decrease. Note that the Village of Caseyville’s levy has remained constant over the past five years while the Fire Protection levy was increased from 0.4000 maximum to 0.6000 maximum, per voter referendum:
